Vacancy

There is currently an open seat on the Town Council.  Town residents can apply to be considered for appointment by the current Town Council for the vacancy that might be filled through March 2026 Term. 

The Town of South Palm Beach Town Council determines policies, enacts legislation, and provides leadership in the community. Town Council Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 2:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Chambers located at 3577 South Ocean Blvd.  Additional and/or Special Meetings are held throughout the year.

The Town Clerk’s Office will accept Appointment applications for the current Council vacancy until Wednesday, November 06, 2024 by 2:00 p.m.  Applicants should complete and return the Town Council Appointment Application and the Residency Affidavit below, along with any other information they wish the Town Council to consider, e.g., a resume. Applicants could be interviewed by the Town Council at the next Regular Town Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers located at 3577 South Ocean Blvd. These interviews are open to the public. Any appointees may be required by State Law to submit a Financial Disclosure Form (Form 6) with the Florida Commission on Ethics.

Pursuant to the Town of South Palm Beach Charter, below are the qualifications to hold a Public Office in the Town of South Palm Beach:

  • Must be a resident of South Palm Beach for a period of at least one (1) year
  • Must be a duly Registered Voter and provide a copy of the Voter Registration Card
